Create a fun and easy door hanger that you can use from year to year. This burlap bunny is cute and easy to make, even the kids can have fun making one for their door. If you are going to hang it outside, be sure to use a fabric or craft glue instead of hot glue so that the sun won't melt it.
11 x 14 inch piece of paper
Sheet of burlap at least 24 x 30 inches big
Hot glue or fabric glue or craft glue (hot glue is easier to work with)
2 - 3 band aids
Large fuzzy tail or white boa that you can turn into the bunny tail
First, fold the paper in half lengthwise. Next draw out the bunny (pattern below), then cut out the template. Unfold the paper and your bunny should be perfect. Next, Fold the burlap in half and tape the sides to hold the fold in place. Now tape the bunny template down on top of the burlap. Cut out the bunny from the burlap and hot glue it together, leaving one section open. Let it cool before you start to stuff the bunny. Once the glue is cooled, stuff the bunny ears first and then stuff the rest of the bunny. To finish off the bunny, hot glue the remaning opening and let it cool. Create a bow out of the Easter ribbon and hot glue it to the neck of the bunny, then hot glue the fuzzy tail or boa onto the bunny. To create a hanger for the bunny, use either ribbon or twine.
