You don't have to spend a fortune to have fresh herbs at your fingertips. Head on over to Lowe's and pick up a few items to create this easy to make DIY Herb Garden.
Board (large enough for as many jars as you would like, I used an 18x36 inch board)
Mason Jars (I used 6)
Screws, long enough to go into the wood but not through the wood
Grown herbs of your choice (small enough to fit in the mason jars)
Pipe fitting clamps (I used silver, be sure they are big enough to fit around the mason jars)
Deco Art Patio Paint and Sealer
Miracle Grow Soil
Small garden tools or table spoon
Paint and seal the piece of wood and let it dry completely. Add the framing attachment if your will be hanging the wood. Now, measure out where you would like your jars to go, be sure when measuring the spaces that you tilt the jars so the soil and plants won't fall out. Now screw in the pipe fitting rings, this is difficult and you may need to cut into the ring with the wire cutters to make the screws go through them.
Now place your mason jars into the pipe fitting rings and tighten the clamp on the ring until the mason jar is secure. Add the soil and then the herbs. Water the herbs and place the wood in it's permanent location.
